Counterfoil's India pharma map connects FDA establishment registrations to public import-alert and warning-letter records, and to listed parents where a match exists. It is a view of published facts, not a prediction of a site's next regulatory outcome.

What does the map show?

Each site record includes its firm name, FDA establishment identifier (FEI), registered location and operations. Where available, it also links import alerts, warning letters, dated events, related establishments and listed parent companies. The map distinguishes sites on an import alert, sites with a warning letter on file, and sites with no matched public action.

How current are the records?

The downloadable dataset includes a generated_at timestamp, counts and source-level retrieval dates. Those dates describe the snapshot; they do not imply that FDA records are checked continuously. Refer to the linked FDA source for the current regulatory position.

What are the limitations?

No matched public action does not establish compliance, product approval, safety or the absence of an enforcement history. Name matching and source coverage can be incomplete. FDA establishment registration is not FDA approval.

Coordinates are PIN-code or city centroids from OpenStreetMap Nominatim, not surveyed plant locations. Each point publishes its own precision. Use the site record and original source to distinguish a company from an individual establishment.
